IPMA's 4 Level Certification (4LC)
Working in a competitive environment under tight schedules and even tighter budgets will require project managers to empower themselves with latest techniques. Unlike in the past where the project head rose from the ranks under the guidance of his seniors, project managers of the future will have to be versatile and innovative and have a grasp of both technical and commercial aspects. Experience would of course counts but a different set of skills will have to be imparted and continuously upgraded. Preparation for the IPMA-D test will expose Indian Project Managers to several aspects of project management, which hitherto remain unnoticed and play an important part in the success and failure of the project.
In India, only PMA, India is authorised to administer IPMA's globally recognized 4 Level Certification (4LC) scheme. PMA has tied up with IPMA the second largest PM association in the world for conducting the Level D test i.e International Project Management Association Level D (IPMA-D) Certification test in India.
